I am beginning the process of building a replacement motor for the PeeVee, and am doing my best to apply the knowledge gained from experiences over the last four years to create the perfect tranZplant. With my stock radiator which is much larger than the Z's and more exposed to airflow, I have noticed that while cruising down the highway, the temp gauge just sits at 180* +/- 5*. From stove top experiments, the thermostat is open at that temp, but not wide open. My question here is, is this limiting the cooling to the motor, and should I include a Mishimoto or Billion thermostat on my parts list? All, and any insight is welcome. Thanks
